📄️ Named Ranges
Named ranges are a feature of spreadsheets that allow you to name one or a range of cells so they can be easily referenced later on. Named ranges are one of the ways Sheetloom hooks into your template and knows where to place your data. In order to know this, the range name must match the Pattern and Stitch name it references in Sheetloom and be structured according to the dot notation detailed in the following section.
📄️ Tab Replacement
Tabs are another way which Sheetloom can locate where to place data.
📄️ Charts
Charts work exactly as expected in Sheetloom woven sheets. They can reference any named ranges or tabs which Sheetloom populates and the charts should update when you open a freshly woven copy of the sheet.
📄️ Pivot Tables
Pivot tables work exactly as expected in Sheetloom woven sheets. They can reference any named ranges or tabs which Sheetloom populates. Excel Options can be configured to refresh pivot tables and charts when a freshly woven copy of the sheet is opened.
📄️ Add-ins
Sheetloom can be used in conjunction with a variety of Microsoft Excel Add-ins such as Bing Maps, People Graph, and Data Visualizer.
📄️ Enhanced Data Types
Data types are a special feature in Microsoft Excel which give you richer information about data in a particular cell by blending it with another data source such as Bing or Excel. For example, if your data set returns geography, Excel can enhance this with additional information about the country's population, capital city, or GDP.
📄️ Macros
Whilst Sheetloom cannot add anything to a macro, it can still process sheets with macros in them. You can use macros to add additional features into your sheets whilst using Stitch data as your foundation.
